Meet vanessa

Vanessa’s love of food started at birth. Her mom proudly states that she “was born hungry”. The evolution to a healthier way of eating came when she became a mom herself. Like all parents, she wanted to give her children the best start in life. Her dissolution with what was available in the market, lead her to make most of their meals from scratch.

As she educated herself about food, what it is in it, where it comes from, and what impact it has in our bodies and on the earth, she made the move into a plant-based lifestyle. It changed her life.

La mesa de Vanessa LLC was born. Its purpose was to help people unlock all the benefits of plant-based food while absolutely loving what they eat.

Knowing that health goes beyond what we eat, Vanessa furthered her studies and became a Certified Health & Well-being Coach from Duke Health.

What started as a company that helped people attain better health through plants has grown into a full service Health & Wellness company that incorporates Coaching, Yoga & Mindfulness, Plant-based Nutrition to help people achieve their vision of optimal health. Good Food for Life.

You can find Vanessa coaching and teaching yoga both in-person and virtually around the world as well as cooking, eating, and sharing plant-based dishes in Switzerland and her native Puerto Rico. She offers Health & Wellness Coaching, Yoga & Mindfulness Practices, and Plant-based Nutrition Coaching.


Vanessa has a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. She is a Duke Health Certified Health & Well-being Coach. In addition, she holds certificates in Plant-Based Nutrition, Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyle, and Wellness Counselling from e Cornell. She is also a certified Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher (RYT200).
